Ofereceram-nos esta abóbora, e como é fim-de-semana do Halloween, o pai decidiu brincar um bocadinho!Os miúdos adoraram!!

Depois da brincadeira, o pai cortou a abóbora, lavou-a, partiu-a e pô-la a congelar.

Ainda do fim-de-semana

- A minha mana veio passar o fim-de-semana a casa dos meus pais. Como não nos vimos no Natal, os presentes foram trocados agora, a sabem o que ela nos deu? Uma máquina de fazer pão!! Eu nem quis acreditar! Já há algum tempo que estas máquinas despertaram o meu interesse, mas nunca me tinha dado para comprar uma. Agora que já a tenho estou em pânico! lol Eu sei que dá para fazer muita coisa, mas preciso de conselhos e dicas. Preciso da vossa ajuda!!!! lol

- No domingo tive uma enxaqueca o dia todo, nem me conseguia mexer. Resultado: tenho a roupa toda para engomar. Para não voltar a isto tenho que a engomar durante a semana.

A lista para hoje:
- lavar 1 máq. de roupa / secar / dobrar e arrumar
- jantar / arrumar a cozinha
- lavar o lava-loiça
- 15 min. na zona a despachar o que não é para ficar (Hábito: 7º dia)
- zona: cozinha
- 15 min. a engomar
- preparar o vestuário para amanhã
- dar um jeito à sala
- deitar-me a horas decentes (ontem: 12h30)

Our Weekend

No time to write. Way too busy at work. I just wanted to show you some photos of our weekend.

I feel great!

You know the feeling, right? When everything goes the way you planned, and you have that sense of accomplishment that makes you happy. This was my weekend!


But first, let me vent a little.lol

So, it's friday and it's Valentines Day at the kids school. They each paint one heart and then give it to a friend. One of my twins was all happy because he got a heart from the girl he gave his heart to.



The other twin was sad, because he gave his heart to a girl but didn't receive any. Now I ask you: don't you think that the teachers should have a few hearts ready for situations like that? I mean they're 4 years old. Aren't they a little too young to feel this kind of rejection?! Anyway, my nephew made one heart and gave it to him. Because Valentines Day is also about friends and family and the love that surrounds us. He was happy with it!

Saturday, after breakfast we went to buy the new camera. It's a Nikkon, it's huge, and now I have to learn how to work with it!lol When we passed by the books I told hubby that I was just going to see what books they had. And then I came out with these in my hands:



I'm crazy, I know! Hubby thinks so too! But he loves me you know, so he just laughed when I told him that I was ready to leave the store with 6 books by Nicholas Sparks, but then decided that 3 were enough because I wanted to read other authors too. ;)

After lunch, I started to clean the kitchen. You know, wash the walls, the machines and the cabinets. I cleaned half of the kitchen in that afternoon and the other half on Sunday afternoon, and I was amazed. You see, I was getting to a point in my life where just the thought of doing these things overwhelmed me and I've always procrastinate doing them. But this weekend I realized that they're not that hard to do and don't even take too long to do either. Although there are still things that are not cleaned, the kitchen is shinning, and this makes me very happy!!

Saturday, after cleaning half of the kitchen, I went to the living room and there were my 3 boys. Hubby and Diogo were doing some drawings with paper,


and Rodrigo was playing the new game (Nemo) on the playstation.


So I went to the kitchen again, and baked the cake


This is really a good and easy to bake cake, and we ate it after dinner.


Sunday, after cleaning the other half of the kitchen, I ironed what was to be ironed, made some more crochet and ate more cake!lol

This was a wonderful weekend!

Thank God It's Friday!!

No matter how the week goes, good or bad, I'm always wishing for the weekend, and you all know why. Anyway, it's raining a lot and looks like we will be having some bad storms this weekend. The perfect weather for staying at home and do lots of things! I am extremely motivated!

Saturday my hubby's parents are coming over for dinner, and he already told me that HE will make it (it's so good when men know and LIKE to cook...) I will probably make a dessert. Sunday is my father's birthday, so we will go over for lunch.

I've been wanting to show you some things and let you all see what I've been doing, but as you know our camera is not helping. This weekend I'll be taking photos, if not with the *stupid* camera, then it's with the cell phone.

Family

You all know that my grandfather was in the hospital last month with heart problems. He passed away on December 30. The next day, my grandmother, who never had heart problems before, had a heart attack and has been in the hospital until last week. Now she's at home, near Castelo Branco, recovering slowly and my parents are staying with her. But this week, my parents will return to their house, in Cascais, and my grandmother is coming with them. And now I need your advice.

As you know, my parents usually pick up the kids from school and take care of them until we arrive at night. We haven't told the kids yet that their great grandfather is no longer with us, and I am pretty sure that as soon as they see their great grandmother, they will ask her for him. My question for you is: how do tell to two 4 year old boys that someone passed away? Maybe looking up for a star in the sky and tell them "See, that's where he is now"?

Dreams

Of course it was just a dream, but a good one though!lol

The reality it's quite different: the house is a big mess again, and it really needs a good clean. I don't know how I will do it, I really want it to be clean and organized and homey and all. Oh! I wish I could stay at home, not working outside the house...Ummmm.... Hey, I can dream a little, can't I?

Where was I... Oh yes, the house. It wouldn't have to be a big house, but it must have a garden, plenty of space for the kids to play. I would take the kids to school in the morning and pick them up when the school was over.My mornings would be to take care of the house, but I would still have the time to do my crafts. And I would do lots of crafts because I really love it. When the kids were home, we would play together and I would help them do their homeworks. When hubby got home dinner would be ready. We would eat and talk about our day. Then dad would have some play time with the kids while I would finish up things for the day. When the kids went to bed, there would be mommy and daddy time and the day would end.

WOW! This is a good dream isn't it? Oh, I wish it could come true... What about your dreams? I would really like to know.

I'm sorry for not saying anything for two days, but it's hard to write something here on the weekends. First of all, I would like to thank you for your prayers. My grandfather is still not feeling well. He is 85 years old and has some heart problems. But I'm still praying, and I will continue to pray for him.

Meanwhile, me and hubby are rearranging the home office. It's actually a room that it's waaaay too cluttered and has a closet full of stuff. We want to remove the closet from there as well as all the clutter, and prepare the room to be a play room for the twins. We want to take all the toys that are right now in our living room and put them in there. The "office" part will still be there too, but the majority of the room will be for the kids. This room has to be ready until Christmas.

Today I'm sad. Really really sad. I had a bad news last night when we were picking up the kids at my parents. My grandfather is in the hospital for a week and is getting worse everyday. I cried all the way back home, and all night. I could barely eat last night.
I know that God is watching him, and He is doing the best for my grandfather. It's all in His hands.

Bom, o dia ontem não correu como eu esperava (mais uma vez!). À tarde fomos ao médico dos olhos do D. e acabámos por ficar lá a tarde TODA. A consulta estava marcada para as 15h e só saimos de lá às 18h15. Depois passámos pelos meus sogros (que faziam ontem anos de casados) e eles convidaram-nos para ir jantar fora. Fomos todos (+ cunhados + sobrinhos) e, como seria de esperar quando se junta a família toda, demorámos mais do que tinhamos previsto. Chegámos a casa mais tarde do que é costume. Pusemos os miudos a dormir, preparámos as coisas para hoje e fomos deitar-nos também.

...

Já alguma vez vos aconteceu fazerem milhões de planos para determinada altura, e depois não conseguirem fazer nada? Isto é o que me tem acontecido ultimamente e deixa-me furiosa! Há sempre qualquer coisa que não me deixa fazer o que eu tinha planeado. TEM sempre que aparecer qualquer coisa que não me deixa avançar. Este fim-de-semana foi uma constipação fortíssima que nos deixou, a mim e ao meu marido, completamente de rastos.Entre lenços de papel e leitinho/chá com mel, dores no corpo todo, frios e calores, aconteceu-nos tudo. Claro que não consegui fazer nada em casa, para além de lavar roupa. Não fiz mais nada...
Hoje já nos sentimos melhor e como vamos para casa mais cedo, pode ser que ainda consiga fazer mais alguma coisa. Vamos ver...

Mais tempinho!!

Hoje, em conversa com o meu marido, chegámos à conclusão que só o fim-de-semana para tratar da casa não chega. Quer dizer, chega, mas não conseguimos aproveitar o tempo com os meninos. Por isso decidimos que vamos deixar de jantar todos os dias nos meus pais durante a semana. Dois dias por semana vamos lá buscar os meninos e arrancamos logo para casa. Assim, temos mais duas noites para fazer alguma coisa em casa em vez de deixar tudo para o fim-de-semana.

Por isso, a partir deste fim-de-semana, a nossa vida vai mudar (espero) para melhor. Finalmente vou conseguir ter tudo arrumado e finalmente vou poder ter tempo para outros projectos que tenho andado a adiar.

Até ao final do ano...

... quero atingir estes objectivos:

» Deixar de fumar - Porque sei o mal que me faz e porque, ultimamente, sempre que acendo um cigarro me sinto culpada.

» Organizar a casa - Deixá-la mais simples e mais confortável.

» Ser melhor esposa e mãe - Estar mais tempo com o marido e os filhos, ter tempo de qualidade com a Família.

» Sentir-me mais feminina - Vestir-me melhor e preocupar-me mais com o meu aspecto.

» Ser melhor dona-de-casa - Ter a casa sempre impecável, a roupa pronta, a comida feita, providenciar para que, quando estivermos todos juntos, tenhamos um dia feliz.

Voltei!!

Estive de férias duas semanas, mas já estou de volta! Foram duas semanas a andar de um lado para o outro com a "casa às costas", mas já estou na minha casinha. Comecei hoje a trabalhar, e começam hoje as rotinas para todos. Levantar cedo, deixar os meninos com os avós, ir trabalhar, ir buscar os meninos aos avós (aproveitar para jantar lá!;-)) e ir para casa preparar as coisas para o dia seguinte e descansar.

O dia-a-dia

Sempre admirei as mulheres que trabalham fora de casa, não têm empregada, e conseguem manter as suas casas arrumadinhas e limpinhas. Sempre admirei porque nunca o consegui fazer. E fico a imaginar o seu dia-a-dia, como será que conseguem fazer tudo sem a ajuda de ninguém. E tento imaginar-me a mim a fazê-lo. E a conseguir, finalmente, ter a casa em ordem. Por enquanto é só um sonho, um desejo. Mas espero que não falte muito para o conseguir realizar.

O meu dia-a-dia não é lá grande coisa no que diz respeito à casa. Saímos muito cedo para levar os filhotes à escola e vamos trabalhar. Ao fim do dia, é a mamã quem sai mais tarde, e os filhotes acabam por adormecer no carro. Chegamos a casa tardíssimo e a rotina é sempre igual: acordamos os filhotes, eles choram, damos-lhes banho, eles choram, enquanto o marido prepara o jantar (sim, eu sou uma sortuda!) a mãe tenta limpar alguma coisa em casa, põe a roupa a lavar ou a secar, e põe a mesa. À hora que vamos para a mesa já os filhotes se deviam estar a preparar para ir para a cama. Quando acabamos de jantar levantamos a mesa, a mãe arruma a cozinha e a seguir vamos deitar os meninos. Ultimamente, a mãe e o pai deitam-se logo a seguir porque já estão muito cansados, mas quando isso não acontece, tentam fazer alguma coisa para arrumar mais um bocadinho a casa. Mas por mais que a mãe e o pai tentem arrumar a casa, a casa continua sempre desarrumada. Frustrante, não?

Quando voltei a trabalhar a tempo inteiro depois de ter os meninos entrei em desespero. Eu não conseguia fazer absolutamente nada. Na Internet encontrei vários sites sobre organização que me fizeram ver que eu não era a única nesta situação. Participei em fórums e tudo, mas também não era o suficiente. Até que encontrei a Flylady. E ainda que não siga tudo à risca como ela diz, confesso que tem sido uma grande ajuda para organizar a casa.
Ainda temos um longo caminho pela frente para nos organizarmos, mas estamos cada vez mais perto.
